Introduction

ArtFun RX is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people who participate in our programs, workshops, and online activities. This Child Protection Policy and Consent Form outlines our commitment to ensuring a safe environment for minors and obtaining parental/guardian consent for participation.

Definitions

"Child" or "Minor" refers to any person under the age of 18.
"Guardian" refers to a parent or legal guardian responsible for the child’s welfare.
"Staff" refers to ArtFun RX employees, volunteers, and facilitators who interact with minors.
"Online Services" refers to any digital or virtual platforms where ArtFun RX provides services to minors.

Commitment to Child Protection

ArtFun RX ensures:
✅ A safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all children.
✅ Compliance with child protection laws and safeguarding regulations.
✅ That all staff working with children undergo background checks and safeguarding training.
✅ Prompt action in case of any concerns regarding child welfare or abuse.

Code of Conduct for Staff and Volunteers

All staff and volunteers working with children must:
✔️ Treat all children with respect and dignity.
✔️ Avoid any inappropriate physical contact or behavior.
✔️ Maintain professional boundaries at all times.
✔️ Report any concerns about a child's welfare immediately.
✔️ Ensure communication with children is transparent and appropriate.

🚫 Staff and volunteers must NOT:
❌ Engage in any form of physical, emotional, or verbal abuse.
❌ Share personal contact information with minors.
❌ Meet a child alone in a private setting.

Online Safety and Digital Interactions

To protect children in online settings:

All virtual sessions are monitored by an ArtFun RX administrator.
No private messaging between staff and minors is permitted.
Parents/guardians must approve and supervise online participation.

Parental/Guardian Consent Form

This form must be completed by a parent or legal guardian before a child participates in ArtFun RX programs or services.

I give permission for my child to participate in ArtFun RX programs and activities.

I understand that ArtFun RX will take all necessary precautions to ensure my child’s safety.

I give permission for my child’s artwork and non-identifiable images to be used for promotional or educational purposes.

I acknowledge that ArtFun RX staff are trained in child protection and will follow all safeguarding policies.

I understand that ArtFun RX is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage sustained during participation, except in cases of negligence.

If you suspect any form of child abuse or have concerns about a child's safety, please report it immediately to:
